The Local Leader is an independent local magazine and business directory covering Bradford, Shipley, Bingley, Baildon and surrounding towns and villages. Published bimonthly, it contains a wide range of articles and photographs submitted by local people, including on local history, events, community groups, charities and much more.
Local businesses are able to advertise in the publication in a range of different sizes, from a full page ad to a business card-sized 1/8 page. They can also include flyers within our deliveries – a highly cost-effective way of getting flyers into thousands of homes in the area.
The magazine has been established for three years, started as a school enterprise project by three 13-year-old students from Titus Salt School in November 2011, led by Editor, James Slater. The first edition was released in April 2012 and the tenth was released at Christmas 2014. It has also enjoyed great affection from locals in its delivery area and who pick it up from a plethora of local businesses. The Local Leader merged with the highly-popular Bingley Rural Magazine in early 2014 and has continued to cover its previous distribution zone.
The magazine is usually between 52 and 80 pages each month and is printed in full colour on 115gsm silk paper as an A5 booklet.
